OOH… SHINY. I was anxiously hoping to be able to post some news about this project around the same time as the Special Characters reception, but the wait was well worth it. So here’s a sneak preview at a very exciting collaboration with my sister, Krista. Under the studio name of Van Dubs, she has joined forces with Two Dumbs to cast silver alphabet block necklaces based on the prints Critter and I designed and printed for our type and lettering exhibition. The blocks are finished to reflect the aged quality of wood type, with the letters cast backwards to stay true to the original form of wood block letters.
